Riots in Vancouver 2010 Olympics

To complement my post about the Olympic protest, here I post an additional video from Youtube. Almost 5000 Vancouver Winter Olympic (2010) protesters go to the streets on February to complain the inaugural of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Another chant that drew the people’s attention is “No Olympics on stolen Native Lands!”. This chant was intended to tease the British Columbian and Canadian governments who claimed settlements in the land, taking it from the indigenous communities of the area. Even the developments of tourism and industry caused them to take over the lands without the original residents’ permission.

Finally, the police successfully handled the Vancouver Winter Olympic (2010) protesters and dispersed them into some smaller groups and multiple arrests were made.
